Florence Otedola, a Nigerian disk jockey (DJ) better known as Cuppy, says “pure water” is indeed sweet.

Cuppy, the daughter of Femi Otedola, billionaire businessman, who likes to relate with the realities of the average Nigerian, disclosed this in a short video clip posted on her social media page on Thursday.

In the less than one minute visuals, the award-winning DJ was seen flanked by security operatives as she heads towards an area in Epe axis of Lagos.

Cuppy, who could be seen holding a sachet of pure water — which is common among Nigerians, particularly middle and low class — then sips a portion of it.

The daughter of Otedola gushes afterwards, hinting she derived satisfaction from the water taken.

“Okay guys, we are in Odo Akushin, Epe (sic). Lets go to the farm. This water is sweet o,” she said before further exchanging pleasantries with an aged man as they progress with the journey.

“Pure water SWEET pass! #Facts,” she posted on Twitter.

Her comment has since opened the floodgates of reactions on the microblogging platform, with many extolling her “simplicity”. As segment of user, however, saw her action as a thinly-veiled dig at the “poor”.

Cuppy recently made headlines after corroborating with a fan’s claim that “husband are scarce”, in response to her earlier post where she wondered why she is yet to be married in 2020.

She also caught the attention of many when her father described Samuel Perry, a comic-actor better known as Broda Shaggi, as his “son-in-law” — in reaction to a comic video involving the duo.
