Habeeb ‘Peller‘ Hamzat, the TikToker, has threatened to sue Kesiena Esiri, the lead evangelist at The Remnant Christian Network (RCN) in Warri, Delta state over controversial comments made against him.

In a widely circulated clip, Kesiena criticised Peller, accusing him of promoting immorality among teenagers and negatively influencing their academic performances.

The cleric claimed that in the past, young people were more respectful and discreet about their actions, whereas today’s youth openly engage in what he described as “inappropriate behaviour”.

Kesiena also blamed Peller and fellow content creator Jarvis for distracting students, arguing that their TikTok content contributed to the failures of many candidates in the recent Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

“You know the young person mentoring people now? It is one guy that calls himself Peller. Young people now, it is on his phone they sit down from morning till night,” the cleric said.

“He is going about with a girl he is not married to and they are engaging in all kinds of nonsense thing. And to my generation teens, it is normal behaviour,

“How can they pass JAMB, they cannot pass JAMB.”

Reacting during a live TikTok session, the 20-year-old content creator dismissed Kesiena’s claims, arguing that he “is not responsible for students’ academic failures”.

The skit maker emphasised that no one is forced to watch his or Jarvis’ content while vowing to sue Kesiena.

“One pastor went to church and was preaching about Peller and Jarvis. What is this generation turning to. He said it is because of Peller and Jarvis that his children failed JAMB,” he said.

“Let me tell you something, nobody forced anyone to watch Peller and Jarvis. You see that pastor, we will sue you. Mr prophet we will sue you. Because you are using our names to collect offering in your church.

“You know how he is going to make money from the offering? That day, all the Gen Zs will love the pastor and they will contribute more offering than what the church has never collected before. They would be delighted that their pastor is Peller’s favourite.

“He wants to build a channel in a worship place.”

The results from JAMB’s original 2025 UTME were released on May 9, with an analysis showing that more than 78 per cent of candidates scored less than 200 points out of the 400 maximum points obtainable.

JAMB undertook a review in response to public protests, uncovered a major “technical error” and conducted a resit exam.
