Clarence Yarbrough, the US-based man, is set to marry Kirk Scott, his boyfriend, on the same day he had earlier fixed to wed his now ex-girlfriend.
On May 25, Yarbrough shared a picture of his engagement with his girlfriend. He also announced that the pair would tie the knot on September 3, 2022.
“Y’all better get ready to save your Date I’m getting ready to put my foot on the pedal #Sept 3, 2022,” he had written.
But in a surprise twist, Yarbrough said he would still marry in September but to Scott — and not his girlfriend anymore.
There are claims that he dumped his fiancée after he allegedly impregnated her.
In his update, Yarbrough said his marriage to Scott would hold in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in the United States.
In a now-deleted Facebook post, Scott revealed that he and Yarbrough previously dated for two years before the union hit the rocks.
Scott said the pair decided to come together again since Yarbrough’s relationship with his girlfriend did not work out as planned.
“Let me just say this, Clarance and I separated for 6 months with no contact. With that being said, we dated for 2 years prior to our separation. So the love we had didn’t die over the course of those of six months,” he wrote.
“We all know he entered in another relationship and was engaged. We both sincerely wished each other when we called it quits.
“Things didn’t work for either of us in our previous relationships so when we finally did talk, we decided to let our pride go.
“Since that was the ultimate reason we didn’t make our relationship last the first time. Love is truly a gamble and I’m willing to bet it all on my best friend and the love of my life Clearance.”
