Trump recently announced his presidential bid about two years after he lost his re-election ambition to Joe Biden.

West, now known as Ye, is yet to officially declare he is joining the presidential race.

But in a Twitter post, the ‘Donda’ crooner said he visited the former president at his private club in Mar-a-Lago, Florida.

He also revealed that politics was one of the issues discussed during the visit.

In a Twitter poll initiated by him, West also said he asked Trump to be his presidential running mate.

He then asked fans to guess if the ex-president accepted his request or not.

“First time at Mar-a-Lago, rain and traffic. Can’t believe I kept President Trump waiting and I had on jeans yikes. What you guys think his response was when I asked him to be my running mate in 2024?” he wrote.

This is not the first time West would be indicating his desire to become US president.

He ran for the much-coveted office in 2020 but later pulled out of the presidential race.

West first announced his interest in the 2024 presidential election in 2019.

“When I run for president in 2024, we would’ve created so many jobs that, in fact, I’m going to walk,” he had said at the time.

“What I’m saying is, when y’all read the headlines, ‘Kanye’s crazy,’ this and that, this and that, it’s like one in three African Americans are in jail and all of the celebrities are in jail also because they can’t say nothing! They’ve got no opinion! They’re so scared!”

The rapper had endorsed Trump for re-election, crediting the politician for a booming real estate market.

But he would later withdraw his support for him, faulting his government’s response to the coronavirus pandemic.
