Dino Melaye, a former senator representing Kogi west, has mocked Ibrahim Magu, the suspended acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Magu was arrested and consequently detained on Monday days after Abubakar Malami, attorney-general of the federation (AGF), accused him of misconduct and insubordination in a memo.

A panel led by Ayo Salami, retired president of the court of appeal, is currently probing the allegations against him.

Amid the controversies trailing his arrest and the allegations against him, President Muhammadu Buhari suspended him as acting chairman of the EFCC on Tuesday.

In a video captioned ‘Karma na shege’ and shared on his social media page, Melaye made a mockery of Magu’s ordeal, saying he had earlier warned about the suspended EFCC boss but was ignored by the president.

“I talk am, I talk am…me l talk about Magu, Buhari no gree listen, no he has seen for himself that many Magus plenty for him government,” he can be heard singing in the video in Pidgin.

In a further dig at the embattled EFCC boss, the former lawmaker, who also sang in Yoruba, enjoined people to tread carefully when it appears things are going smoothly for them.

Since he was sacked as a senator, Melaye often composes short songs to share his opinion on trending political issues.
