Daniel Etim-Effiong, Beverly Naya, and Adunni Ade are among the prominent persons who took part in ‘The One For Sarah’, a forthcoming movie on emotional abuse and self-discovery.
In a statement on Tuesday, the film producers said the movie will soon hit cinemas across the country.
The romantic drama follows the story of Sarah, a fashion designer, who overcomes emotional abuse, rediscovers her value, and finds love again.
The film is directed by Lyndsey Esejuku and produced by Ronke Ogunmakin.
Other film stars who featured in the project include Bucci Franklin, Uzor Arukwe, Broda Shaggi, Shalewa Ashafa, and Bimbo Ademoye.
According to the statement, the movie is aimed at promoting “fearlessness in both love and life”.
It added that the project became imperative in the wake of rising cases of domestic abuse in society.
“A major theme the campaign of this movie will be based on is emotional abuse. Due to the rising numbers of emotional abuse cases in the society that sometimes also leads to the actual domestic abuse in relationships, we find it imperative to enlighten the public on this topic with the help of this movie,” it reads.
