Eniola Badmus, the Nigerian actress, has lauded President Bola Tinubu on his first year in office.
Tinubu was sworn in as the president of Nigeria on May 29, 2023.
Badmus has been a staunch supporter of Tinubu. She even backed him throughout his campaign.
On Thursday, the actress took to her Instagram page to celebrate the president, adding that his leadership has brought about “progress and hope” in the country.
She also expressed optimism about the country’s future under Tinubu’s guidance.
“Congratulations on your first year in office @officialasiwajubat,” the actress wrote.
“Your dedication and leadership have brought significant progress and hope to our nation. We look forward to continued success and growth under your guidance.”

However, Tinubu’s first year in office has sparked divided opinions from the public.
While supporters like Badmus celebrate his achievements, critics point to ongoing issues like insecurity, unemployment and economic instability.
Last week, Omoyele Sowore, presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), condemned the level of poverty in the country.
“The leadership style of President Tinubu is bad and the poverty that the people are experiencing is alarming,” he said.
He added that Tinubu has failed to make a meaningful impact on the development of the country.
