Emmanuel Ifeanyi Nnebe has become the latest contestant to be evicted from the 2021 Gulder Ultimate Search (GUS).

The 29-year-old paralegal and model was sent packing from the survival reality show on Saturday night.

The development makes him the fourth contestant to exit the show after Olayinka Omoya, Mfon Mikel, and Gerald Odeka were ousted last week.

Organisers of the GUS announced Nnebe’s exit via its official Instagram page.

“In the Jungle anything can happen!! Sad to see @e.geniusworld go tonight. Who will be next?,” it wrote.

Nnebe’s eviction means there are 14 contestants left in the race for the show’s N50 million grand prize.

The show, currently in its 12th season, is making its return after four-year hiatus.

The organisers had earlier unveiled a total of 20 contestants for this year’s edition of the survival programme.

But in a new twist, Gideon Okeke, the show host, had said only 16 of the housemates are eligible for the jungle while the remaining four were identified as wildcards.

Osasere Agbonile and Odudu Otu were then added to the 16 contestants after polling the highest votes — making it 18 in total.

The contestants — camped in a jungle — are expected to compete against each other and the wild in quest of a secret treasure that would offer fame and wealth to the last person standing.

The GUS premiered in 2004 and has enjoyed widespread acceptance since then.
