Photographer, Eloghosa Osunde, is set to hold a solo exhibition at Rele Gallery.
Tagged ‘And Now we Have Entered Broken Earth,’ the exhibition is aimed at showcasing the recent works of Osunde.
Her works explore the various sides of intimacy and loneliness within familial relationships using nature-inspired imagery to shape a photo-story about intergenerational cycles, internal inheritances, and resemblances.
The visual story also brings together themes of addiction, mental illness, spiritual resistance, and surrender.
Osunde is a writer and photographer whose work is rooted in the documentation and exploration of grief, trauma, loss and love in human relationships.
Her work at the exhibition will feature stark monochrome images and free verse poetry.
In September 2015, her first photo exhibition Woman in Bloom took place in Lagos.
She was in January 2016 selected as a Rele Art Foundation Young Contemporary where she exhibited a new photo series.
Osunde was one of eight invited artists who travelled with Invisible Borders for a transnational road trip documenting modern day Nigerian realities in May 2016.
The exhibition will start on Sunday, May 7 and end on June 4.
