Ebunoluwa Akinbo, winner of the Fashola Photographic Foundation contest, will exhibit her works tagged ‘The Passing of Time’ at the Lagos Photo Festival.
The showcase is a partnership between the international photography festival and the foundation.
Akimbo, tipped as one of the emerging talents to watch out for, was singled out for her passion, vision for eye-catching scenes and compelling narratives.
Her works are currently showing at the Mike Adenuga Centre, Ikoyi.
A statement by organisers of the visual fest said: “Lagos Photo is pleased to partner with the Fashola Photographic Foundation to showcase a body of work shot by emerging Lagos-based photographer Ebunoluwa Akinbo.
“Ebun combines her background in sociology with photography to create visually compelling stories with strong narratives.
“Time Has Gone”, the 9th edition of Lagos Photo Festival, explores the configurations by which the past, the present and the future interact within the photographic medium.
“Time will be approached from different angles, highlighting matters of momentum, documentation and preservation, taking into consideration the intimacy of stories as well as the breadth of the concept itself.”
The 2018 Lagos Photo Festival features works from over 20 photographers, some of whom include Abosede George, Adji Dieye, Alfredo Jaar, Amanda Iheme, Emmanuelle Andrianjafy and Ismail Bahri.
