Drake, Canadian rapper, was on Sunday, booed off the stage after appearing as a surprise guest at Tyler the Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.

The 33-year-old singer had taken to the stage to deliver an unexpected performance as the annual show’s surprise artiste for 2019 but had to cut his set short and exit the scene after fans started booing him.

While Tyler himself had been billed as one of the headliners of the festival, the second headliner, who later happened to be Drake, remained unannounced — a move intended to treat fans to a stage performance from an unexpected and well-celebrated artiste.

However, the “flip side,”, as Tyler described it, came to be the case when some fans unreservedly expressed their disappointment to have the billionaire rapper in their midst — after Frank Ocean, another renowned American singer, had been widely rumoured to be the night’s surprise guest.

“We want Frank!” screamed the crowd amid boos, as Drake said, “You know, I’ma tell you, like I said, I’m here for you tonight. If you wanna keep going, I will keep going — what song?”

Reacting to the development, Tyler changed his Twitter handle’s status to read “embarrassed by fans right now,” and went ahead to narrate what played out at the festival which he described as “not cool.”

“I Was In The Front And I Hear “Tylllerrrr!” I Look To My Left, And This Girl, Red Face, Puffy, Waterfall Of Tears, Looked Into My Soul And Said, Trembling With Anger ‘What The ..F**K! Is This S**T!’ Nigga, I Turned Away So Quick. She Was Pissed Bro,” he wrote in a barrage of expletive-laden tweets.

“I Thought Bringing One Of The Biggest Artist On The F**King Planet To A Music Festival Was Fire! But Flipside, A Lil Tone Deaf Knowing The Specific Crowd It Drew. Some Created A Narrative In Their Head And Acted Out Like Assholes When It Didnt Come True And I Dont Fuck With That.”
