Dr. Dre has struck a divorce property settlement agreement with Nicole Young, his ex-wife.
In June 2020, Nicole had filed for divorce from Dre. She had cited irreconcilable differences as her reason.
The pair, who tied the knot in 1996 and are blessed with two children, had been caught up in a legal tussle over their prenup.
According to TMZ, the music producer will pay his ex-wife $100 million — $50 million first and another in one year.
With Dre’s estimated to be worth $820 million, it is understood that his ex-wife won’t be getting half of his fortune.
He will keep seven properties they own, including a Malibu home, two homes in Calabasas, and four properties in Los Angeles.
This includes the $100 million Brentwood estate.
Dre will be getting full rights to his master recordings, trademarks, and interests in various partnerships and trusts.
He will also be keeping all of their Apple stocks, which includes the proceeds from the sale of Beats by Dre.
It is understood that based on the details of the settlement, the pair will divide a fleet of vehicles — six to Dre and four to Nicole.
Nicole will be keeping jewelry, cash, and bank accounts that she had maintained during the marriage.
It was also revealed that she is mandated to pay her own legal fees which amount to millions of dollars.
The settlement rules out Nicole’s ability to get spousal support, an issue she contested during the divorce.
