Zlatan Ibile, the Nigerian singer, has come through with a new song titled ‘Happy Day’.

The song was released across streaming platforms in the early hours of Friday.

In ‘Happy Day’, Zlatan leans into his signature mix of Yoruba lyrics, street slang and upbeat rhythms.

“Them dey wonder wonder wonder wonder wonder wonder/ Everything hard but I choose soft life/ Ah, say, lọla Ọlọrun, lọla Saati Ramoni/ Ninu aye o, k’ọn ma fi mi kọ body/ Gbẹdu timba, e dey my body, my body/ Oh my Lordy, wetin I go do with all these plenty money,” he sings.

“Pour me tequila cause it’s a happy day It’s a happy day (3x)/ Leave story for Makinde, Solo Makinde (3x).”

Born Omoniyi Raphael, Zlatan is known for his energetic delivery and street credibility. He continues to ride the wave of his unique sound which fuses Afrobeats, hip-hop, and indigenous rhythms.

Some of his hit songs include ‘Zanku’, ‘Shotan’, ‘Quilox’, and ‘Lagos Anthem’.

Since the release of his debut studio album in 2019, the rapper has won several awards and earned recognition for his craft.
