Victony, the Nigerian rapper, has released a new single titled ‘Kolomental’ ahead of his forthcoming EP.
The song was put out across streaming platforms on Tuesday after days of teasing by the singer.
Announcing the release on his Instagram page, Victony recalled what he described as his “dark” days.
“On this day last year, everyone feared for my life,” he wrote.
“I lived in the dark for a while, as I kept drawing strength from God & the outlaws. Together we reversed the darkest times of my life into a blessing, look how far we’ve come.
“Today symbolizes victory for all outlaws. I want this to be the soundtrack of our lives as overcomers. April 26 #donyizzyday, rest in God’s arm Doyin.”
‘Kolomental’, produced by Blaise Beatz, comes a month after the release of Victony’s hit single ‘Apollo’.
In April 2021, Victony and his friends were involved in a ghastly car accident while returning from a birthday party hosted by Oxlade, another fast-rising singer.
The auto crash left one person identified as Doyin dead while other persons were severely injured.
He thereafter underwent surgery following the injuries which put him in a wheelchair.
