Abbey Elias, the Nigerian singer better known as Skiibii, has come through with the remix of ‘Baddest Boy’, his hit song.
The musician announced the release of the song featuring Davido in the early hours of Friday.
In the two-minute song, the pair reflect on how the world is fast becoming a toxic place where those who strive to stand for a good cause are often discriminated against.
Davido, in his verse on the song, also took a swipe at his critics while adding that he remains unperturbed by negative perceptions about him.
“Bad belle lo po laye (Shekpe) Kehinde le joju Taiye (owh) Olohun ma gbe mi fun aiye. OBO tii gbe won sare,” he could be heard singing in a mixture Yoruba and Pidgin.
“Who dey check am? (Men dey) Ton ba gbemu, we go reck am (Number) 7 David Bechkam. And nothing fit to shake my mental.”
Skiibii started singing while in school but gained prominence in 2014 after he was signed to Five Start Music.
He released several hit songs with the label including ‘Ah Skiibii’ before announcing his departure to start his own record label.
Davido has also established himself as a household name in the global music industry with numerous hit songs and recognition.
He has been in the news over the crisis rocking his family ahead of the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Osun state.
