Simi, the Nigerian singer, has teamed up with Falz, the rapper, for a song titled ‘Borrow Me Your Baby’.
In the song, released on Friday, the entertainers once again combined their musical prowess to deliver an amazing hit.
In ‘Borrow Me Your Baby’, the music stars tell a tale of a mystery lady who refused to be lured into infidelity.
The song sees Falz complementing Simi’s signature style with his rap verse.
“Ki lo fa nonsense/ You say you like me/ Shey you dey whine me ni?/ See picture wey dey for my dp/ My boyfriend no go like this thing,” Simi sings.
“Hello, hello, brother Ade (What’s up, man?)/ E jor e mabinu na mo le salaye/ O wa improper, please brother, no talk am/ Don’t bother, no, it’s not that I wan chop/ I’m just feeling peckish, just a little fetish/ I no disrespect pls, I go use my senses (I swear)/ We go run am well on the low, me sef I know (Know)/ No be wetin person dey talk for megaphone (That’s right)/ No be fight, I just wan borrow your partner (One time)/ Just a night, if we can reopen that chapter (Yeah), ” Falz raps.
This is not the first time the pair will be working together.
Falz was enlisted on Simi’s song ‘Jamb Question’ in 2017. Their 2016 joint album ‘Chemistry’ was a huge success with multiple hits like ‘Enough,’ ‘Chemistry’ and ‘Foreign’.
Falz, whose music career began in 2009, has also established himself as an actor and an activist.
He gained fame with the song ‘Marry Me’, featuring Poe and Yemi Alade. His debut album, ‘Wazap Guy’, was released in 2014.
On Thursday, Falz announced his upcoming extended play (EP) titled ‘Before The Feast’.
Simi, on the other hand, broke into the limelight with her single ‘Tiff’ in 2014.
