Remilekun Safaru, the rapper-songwriter better known as Reminisce, has come through with ‘Overdose’, his latest song.

The 41-year-old announced the release of the collaborative track featuring Simi via his social media handles on Friday.

In the less than three-minute song, Reminisce croons about his undying love for his woman and dealing with unrequited affection.

“Oh baby baby tell me what you want
I dey feel like sey you don turn to waka waka because you no dey pick my call
Girl I want to know abi you don’t want to do again,” he sings in Pidgin English and Yoruba.

“And this love is over-overdose
And my heart carry over-overload
Gbe sun mọ mi baby ko ma-ko ma roll
You carry over, carry over-overload.”

Reminisce has continued to enjoy fame since his foray into the music landscape in 2006. In 2008, he had a rap verse on a track off ‘Gongo Aso’, 9ice’s sophomore album.

He became popular after the release of ‘Ever since’ and ‘If Only’, his first and second singles respectively.

The rapper is also famous for his acting skills, having starred in Kemi Adetiba-directed action drama, ‘King of Boys‘.

Simi, who started out as a gospel singer, has also become a household name in the music industry with several hit tracks including ‘Duduke’.
