Divine Ikubor, Nigerian musician better known as Rema, has come through with ‘Soundgasm’, a highly anticipated single.

The song was released alongside its video in the early hours of Friday.

In the new track, which was directed by Bobby Hanaford, the Edo-born singer adopts explicit language while enjoying the warmth of a cottage inhabited by him and his love interest.

‘Soundgasm’ also sees the 20-year-old ‘Bounce’ crooner aim for a middle ground between brooding sexiness and plain immaculate vibes — and he scores mostly.

“Baby girl your body is my medicine // Sweet baby melanin sweeter than sugarcane // If I hickey, hickey on her neck // S** like a gangster, one my face, innocent // Stroke her p***y with my index // Shawty gotta org**m // Tapping on that p***y like I’m tryna kill a mother f**king insect,” he could be heard singing.

With a lulling melody that almost hypnotises, you can clearly see a continuity here that is purely Rema.

Last year, Rema had left tongues wagging after he took one of his female fans on a date with the lady later dismissing rumours they were in a relationship.

He had in April 2020 also opened up on his willingness to be in a relationship and his search for the “right one.”

“I really want to be in a relationship but still looking for the right one. I want to enjoy the peace because it’s really noisy: cameras flashing lights, meetings, studio sections,” he had said.
