Phyno, the Nigerian singer and rapper, has put out his latest song titled ‘Ojemba’.
The Enugu-born rapper announced the release of the song, which features Olamide, his colleague, on Friday.
In the song, composed in Igbo and English languages, the ‘Ezege’ crooner talks about embarking on a journey while seeking God’s protection.
“Oluwa cover me o/Man no fit be God o/They wan make I slow down o/But I no go look back o/O kwa chukwu na-enye o/E dey sweet me for belle o/Ife o solu fa mebe/Abukwa m ojemba enwe ilo,” the lyrics read.
Olamide and Phyno have collaborated several times.
Phyno started his music career as a producer in 2003 and is renowned for rapping in the Igbo language. He also combines a bit of Nigerian Pidgin and English.
He has performed with artistes such as Wizkid, Davido, Timaya, Flavour, Ruggedman, Bracket, J. Martins, and Mr Raw.
Phyno once said he spits his bars in his dialect because he respects his culture and loves being himself.
