The Port Harcourt-born hitmaker announced the release of the song on his Twitter page in the early hours of Friday.

The announcement came with a gloomy artwork that foretells the somber sound that is being released.

In the track, the Grammy-nominated Afro-fusion singer sings about the irrepressible hurt of being with an unfaithful lover.

‘Understand’ is a follow-up track to his previous EP titled ‘What Have We Done‘ which consists of five tracks with a feature from 6lack.

Omah Lay has continued to pull the strings in the Nigerian music industry with several beautiful offerings.

The singer was all over the news in December 2020 following his arrest in Uganda alongside Tems, another fast-rising vocalist, over their involvement in an unauthorised concert at Ddungu Resort in Munyonyo, Kampala City.

He was later released after the widespread outrage from Nigerians.
