Niniola Apata, Nigerian singer, has put out ‘Addicted’, a single off ‘Colours and Sounds’, her forthcoming sophomore album, billed for September.
The Afro-house queen took to her social media page on Friday to announce the release of the project to her fans.
In the less than five-minute track, the singer can be seen reflecting on her quest to find a lost lover, whom she can’t do without.
“… because l just have to locate you. You know l need it, I’m so addicted, l can’t live without it (love),” she can be heard singing.
The ‘Maradona’ songstress also talked about how she has become intoxicated with love that she could go any length to get back the one who brightens her world.
Niniola rode to prominence in 2014 after releasing ‘Ibadi’, her debut and breakthrough single, which snagged positive reviews, topped national music charts and gained extensive airplay.
She has since established herself as a household name in the Nigerian music industry with several awards and recognition to her name.
The singer had in 2019 hinted on a possible collaboration with Teni Apata, her blood sister, who has also taken the country’s music landscape by storm.
“…just stay close, because you never know, close your eyes, it might drop. Stay close, you will find out,” she had said.
