Ladipo Esom, a Nigerian musician better known as Ladipoe, has enlisted Joeboy, an Empawa Africa-signed Afropop crooner, for his latest single titled ‘Yoruba Samurai’.

The romance-oriented single, which was put out in the early hours of Friday, comes on the heels of his collaboration with Teniola Apata, a vocalist, for the remix of the track ‘Lemme Know’.

“Come get that summer vibe/Welcome to my city in December time/Generator sounding like a lullaby/Feeling like a Yoruba Samurai /Baby I’ll go to war for ya,” the duo can be heard singing.

“We burning like candlelight/You can’t even measure it Fahrenheit/Even if I see you in another life Baby, I’ll go to war for ya /See I no go fit lie say, my love for you, I swear e sure gan.”

In 2017, Ladipoe signed a deal with Mavin Records. He rose to prominence with the song ‘Feel Alright’ where he got featured by SDC ‘Show Dem Camp’ before releasing the single ‘Jaiye’ in March 2019.

Joeboy is renowned for his 2019 single ‘Baby’, which amassed 20 million streams across YouTube and Spotify in 2019.
