Iyanya Mbuk, the R&B singer, has put out his sixth career body of work titled ‘The 6th Wave’.
The extended play (EP), which was released on Friday, housed a total of eight tracks.
The project includes guest appearances from Davido, Kizz Daniel, Ayra Starr, Kuami Eugene, and Yung Alpha.
Tracks in the body of work include ‘Zone’, ‘My Lady’, ‘Sweet Argentina’, ‘One Side’, ‘Scam’, ‘Milla’, ‘Call’, and ‘Like’.
‘The 6th Wave’ EP is coming a few weeks after the musician released the single ‘One Side‘.
The project is also a follow-up to his previously released album titled ‘Applaudise’.
Iyanya rose to fame after winning the first season of Project Fame West Africa. He released his debut album in 2011.
The singer co-founded the record label MMMG with Ubi Franklin, the music executive, the same year.
He has established himself as a household name in the Nigerian music industry since then with several awards and recognition.
The singer, however, raised concerns at some point after he took a break from music.
In July, Iyanya disclosed that his four-year hiatus from music was for his mental health.
“I had to shut down. I lost my mind. Mentally, I was gone. If I didn’t, I won’t be here today. Ubi Franklin and I made up a long ago but we didn’t say so on social media. The issues that made us fall apart don’t exist anymore,” he had said.
