Iyanya Mbuk, the Nigerian singer, has come through with his highly anticipated extended play (EP) titled ‘Love and Trust’.
The musician announced the EP release via his Instagram page on Friday.
In the music project, Iyanya enlists the vocal dexterity of Joeboy and BNXN.
The six-track EP consists of songs like ‘Love and Trust’ featuring Joeboy, ‘Woman’, and ‘Allow’.
Others are ‘Plans’, ‘Sinner’ featuring BNXN, and ‘Breakfast’.
Iyanya rose to fame after winning the first season of Project Fame West Africa. He released his debut album in 2011.
The singer co-founded the record label MMMG with Ubi Franklin, the music executive, the same year.
He has established himself as a household name in the Nigerian music industry with several awards and recognition.
The singer, however, raised concerns at some point after he took a break from music.
In July, Iyanya disclosed that his four-year hiatus from music was for his mental health.
“I had to shut down. I lost my mind. Mentally, I was gone. If I didn’t, I won’t be here today. Ubi Franklin and I made up a long ago but we didn’t say so on social media. The issues that made us fall apart don’t exist anymore,” he had said.
“I was young and everything happened so fast. Now I know you have to listen to people, especially those giving you advice for growth. Yeah, [I’m in a different headspace. And I’m more mature.]”
