Fiokee, Nigerian guitarist, and Raybekah, fast-rising artiste, have teamed up for a brand new banger titled ‘Cut Soap’.

The song, released on Thursday, is a clever play on trending phrases used by Nigerian youths to mean “whatever is giving you this wealth, please introduce me to it”.

With lyrics such as “Brother cut soap for me”, “See wetin Desmond Eliot don cause”, and “Bill am when you see am”, it is impossible not to let out a hearty laugh while swaying to the soft vibes produced by Fiokee and Deeyaso.

Speaking about the song, Fiokee, an engineer-turned-guitarist, said: “Cut Soap was a freestyle we did in the studio some weeks ago. So, because of the feedback we got from our fans, we decided to get back in the studio with Deeyasso beats and make it a proper jam. Now the soap is available for everyone. Lol!”

The guitarist has long been associated with industry heavyweights such as Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade, Patoranking, Reekado Banks, Adekunle Gold, Flavour, Simi, and Kiss Daniel.

Deeyaso, on the other hand, has worked with Chike, a fast-rising singer, on ‘Boo Of The Booless’, his debut album.

The industry knowledge of the duo combined with Raybekah’s soulful voice and the humorous relatability of the lyrics make this track an undisputed hit.
