Falz, the Nigerian rapper, has put out another socially conscious song titled ‘O Wa’.

The rapper announced the release of the project featuring Tekno, the Afrobeat singer, on Wednesday.

The track which is a fusion of Afrobeat and hip-hop was produced by Chillz.

In ‘O Wa,’ Falz adopts the late Fela Kuti’s vibes as he sings about justice and fairness.

The ‘Bop Daddy‘ crooner also calls on Nigerians to vote right and exercise their franchise during the upcoming elections.

Tekno, on the other hand, uses his remarkable musical skills to elevate the tempo of the song.

The Afrobeat star also adds appropriate slang and lingo that make ‘O Wa’ more soothing to listen to.

“Naso dem dey do, not everybody like sardine, you dey gallivant up and down, forget say body no be machine, all the tax wey you generate, why the cash no dey circulate? And when we start to calculate, everybody come dey agitate O wa,” the lyrics read.

The presidential election will hold on February 25.

Falz has been vocal about the forthcoming elections.

In September 2022, the rapper said the 2023 elections will be the most important in Nigeria’s history.

He was also actively involved in the 2020 #EndSARS movement that sought to end police brutality and bad governance.

Falz released his debut album ‘Wazap Guy’ in 2014. He has also put out a plethora of socially conscious songs.

He currently owns an independent record label called Bahd Guys Records.
