Enisa Nikaj, US pop singer, has put out the remix for ‘Love Cycle’, her collaboration with Davido.
The song was released in the early hours of Friday as planned alongside its video which was shot in a party setting.
It follows the success of the song’s solo version — which was put out last September — with a music video shot in the US.
As its title readily suggests, Enisa’s remix sees her talk about her escapades with a perceived lover who she couldn’t seem to get enough of. Davido then recounts a similar experience, dishing out his lines in both English and Yoruba.
“You just keep me/Moving in slow motion/Right back at the start/Another round ’cause we never give up/Would shut it down but I want it too much,” Enisa’s lines reads as she hangs out at a party with Davido.
“I’m a slave to the rhythm/I can’t break away Another round spillin’ outta my cup/I take it down but it’s never enough/I’m a slave to the rhythm, I can’t breakaway/ You got me stuck in a Love cycle.”
Based in Brooklyn, Enisa became popular after she performed cover songs to artists such as Adele and Hozier. Her cover of Hozier’s song ‘Take Me To Church’ also became her first-ever track to hit 100,000 YouTube views.
She released her debut single ‘Burn This Bridge’ in 2016 and got massive acceptance from Nigerians in 2020 when she released her song ‘Dumb Boy’, which also earned her huge followerships on social media.
Enisa is signed to Highbridge The Label, a brand of A Boogie wit da Hoodie, US rapper, as well as Atlantic Records.
For Davido, the ‘Love Cycle’ remix comes ahead of his EP with Chris Brown, R&B singer, and other projects.
