The fast-rising singer took to his social media pages to announce the release of the song featuring Davido and Wale, a Nigerian-American rapper, on Tuesday.

The less than four-minute project sees Cheque crooning about his quest to succeed amid seeming hostility with Davido, and Wale adding a gloss to the lyrics.

“They don’t love me like I do. They just wanna take my truth. Now they running out of clue. They just don’t know what to do. I’m breaking chains now,” he could be heard singing.

“Hating so stupid but that’s the way now…Congratulations. That’s the only valid conversation, they gon’ love me now in my hometown. So all you hating on me get your face down, woah.”

Cheque started his music career in 2015 while still in the university and was signed into Penthauze Records, a music label owned by Phyno, in 2019.

He has since continued to pull the strings with beautiful offerings as well as collaborations with other music stars. The 25-year-old singer featured on ‘Warlords’, a track off ‘999′ EP by Olamide, alongside Rhatti, Phyno and Snow.
