Sodiq Yusuf, the Nigerian rapper better known as CDQ, has come through with ‘Doings’, his latest single.

The rapper announced the release of the less than four-minute track on his Instagram page on Friday.

In the song, which was produced by Masterkraft, the Nigerian record producer, CDQ croons about his exotic lifestyle.

The rapper also raves about his lover while promising to do anything for her.

“Come be my aso ibora| Elele yi baby come ragabomi| I go fit do anything for my woman| Je ki gbe e debe, I go pepper| When you see doings, you go holla yeye,” he sings in a mixture of Pidgin and Yoruba. 

The indigenous hip-hop rapper rose to prominence after dropping ‘Nowo E Soke’, a 2015 hit single, wherein he featured Wizkid.

He has since then established himself as a popular figure in the Nigerian music industry.

In November 2016, the 37-year-old rapper launched his own record label N.S.N.S — a short form for No Struggle No Success Entertainment.

In 2020, CDQ made headlines for initiating a movement seeking to make property owners cut the rents of their tenants amid the economic burden brought about by the coronavirus outbreak.
