The award-winning singer took to his Twitter page in the early hours of Friday to announce the release of the project to his numerous fans.

The less than four-minute song sees the singer expressing his love for the motherland, noting that no matter how long he stays away from the country, he cannot forget his root.

“Anywhere I go, I have to return to my home (Nigeria) because my mother is living there,” he can be heard singing in a mixture of Pidgin and English.

He also talked about how his desire for greatness has continued to inspire him to strive for the best regardless of the odds.

“I don’t want people to tell me I’m too lazy…As I’m hustling like Adebayo Ogunlesi, don’t say that I am too lazy,” he added.

The singer had, some months ago, told fans that ‘Twice as Tall’, his first album for 2020, will be out in July.

The ‘Ye’ crooner has also followed up his blistering career run from 2019 with many beautiful projects, winning several awards, collaborating with global music heavyweights and garnering huge prominence across the world.

While he has continued to draw commendations for his projects, the ‘African Giant’ singer has equally been a subject of heated controversies.

He had left tongues wagging recently with his reaction after Davido described himself and Wizkid as the “greatest Nigerian musicians of all time”.

He was also the subject of another drama after Sho Madjozi, South African rapper, accused him of taking down ‘Own It’ remix, a song which she featured in following her BET nomination.
