Ayra Starr, a fast-rising Nigerian singer, has joined Mavin Records, a music label owned by Don Jazzy.

Don Jazzy took to his social media pages to unveil the newly signed artiste while calling on his fans to follow her.

“Last year I met the most incredible 18 year old girl, her name is @AyraStarr. It’s been a fantastic experience working behind the scene for over a year and we at Mavin are proud to present her to the world,” he wrote on Twitter.

“Pls follow and join me to welcome to Mavin @ayrastarr #MavinActivated.”

The 18-year-old singer also shared the good news with her fans on her Twitter page.

“I am very honored to be part of the Mavin family and excited to go on this journey. Thank you to everyone who has been in my corner from day one . Lets go!” she wrote.

The development comes at about the same time when Starr released her self-titled five-track extended play (EP).

Tracks on the body of work, released on Friday, include ‘Away’, ‘Ija’, ‘Ditr’, ‘Sare’ and ‘Memories’.

The singer has also put out the visuals for ‘Away’, a track off the EP.

Ayra will be the third female singer to be signed on the record label after Tiwa Savage and Dija.
