Asake, the fast-rising Nigerian singer, has come through with a new single titled ‘Peace Be Unto You’.

The singer announced the release of the song, accompanied by the video, on Thursday.

The less than three-minute track opens with the voice of a now-viral LASTMA officer shouting “Help me, help me, he dey carry me go where I no know.”

The ‘Sungba’ crooner includes an Arabic phrase in the witty lyrics which blend with the fast-paced beat.

“As-salaam Alaykum/ I get many many disciple/Mo taka oshi danu/ Oluwa shower me your blessings times two/ Odejowo kodahun/ In every situation make I no lose/ Emi o shakomo Olohun,” he sings.

The music video — produced by TG Omori — opens with Asake racing a power bike on a highway, while some kids hail him.

He is currently signed to YBNL. He had recently recounted how he begged Olamide, the Nigerian rapper, for two years to join his music label.
