Doris Ogala, the actress, has issued an ultimatum to Chris Okafor, the founder of Grace Nation Ministry, amid the collapse of what she claimed to be their seven-year romantic relationship.
The crisis stems from Ogala’s recent allegations that Okafor, after a years-long romantic relationship, abandoned a promise to marry her and instead proposed to another woman.
Ogala claimed the relationship began in 2017 and that she ended her previous marriage at Okafor’s insistence, only to be betrayed after years of intimacy and assurances of a future together.
The actress alleged that the cleric’s action has devastated her mental and emotional health. Among her claims is that Okafor shared explicit videos of her without her consent.
In a recent strongly-worded Instagram video, Ogala demanded that Okafor either marry her or financially “settle” her by purchasing a house, failing which she would pursue legal action.
The actress detailed what she described as significant personal sacrifices, emotional investment, and professional setbacks suffered during the relationship.
She alleged that the only monetary support she received from Okafor throughout their involvement was N300,000, a sum she dismissed as insignificant.
She defended her demands as legally and morally justified, asserting that a man cannot promise marriage, derail a woman’s life, and walk away without consequence.

“Chris is my ex-boyfriend, I am not lying. Before I can forgive Chris, he would buy me a house. Someone that I dated for about seven to eight years, dumped me to go and get married? Since 2017, he did not give me any money. The only money I collected from that man was N300,000,” she said.
“My lawyer is already writing down my demands, do not make it look like I am not demanding anything. This man told me to leave my marriage, he left me shattered and he wants to marry? No, he has to settle me first. My lawyer is writing my demand, it is my right.
“Seven years of sex, free back-to-back and you are saying he should not give me anything? No now. As for me, Chris has to buy me a house. If Chris settles me and buys me a house, what am I stopping his marriage for? My lawyer is coming out soon. It is like you do not understand, this woman talking to you is not normal.
“Since 2017, my brother died, I was imprisoned and I would now not make demands? It is in the law, you cannot promise a woman marriage and break her, leave her and you would not give her anything, it is not possible. I have proof, evidence of the promise of the marriage. He disgraced my life, took away my career. At this point, Chris must settle me or we die here. It is either he marries me or he buys me house.”
