Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has been released from police custody after a two-day detention.
The movie star, who was arrested on Saturday over allegations levelled against Chris Okafor, founder of Grace Nation Ministry, confirmed her release on Instagram on Monday.
In the post, Ogala thanked those who aided her, notably former presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore and social media activist VeryDarkMan.
“Thank you sowore. Thanks so much to my ratel King VDM,” she wrote.

Ogala’s arrest rounded off weeks of escalating public drama that began when a video of Okafor’s engagement to another woman circulated online.
In response, Ogala came forward with claims that she had been in a romantic relationship with the clergyman since 2017.
The actress alleged that she left her previous marriage at Okafor’s insistence and accused the cleric of betraying her after years of intimacy and assurances of marriage.
The actress later issued an ultimatum, demanding that Okafor either marry her or financially “settle” her by purchasing a house.
Despite the controversy, photos from Okafor’s white wedding and traditional marriage ceremonies surfaced online last Wednesday.
This prompted Ogala to demand N1 billion in damages over breach of promise from Okafor.
The conflict intensified last Friday when she posted — and later deleted — an image appearing to show Okafor in a private bedroom setting, topless with a towel around his waist.
