Don Jazzy, the Mavin Records head honcho, has issued a warning to an individual impersonating him on the social media platform X.
The fake account, with the username @Donnjazzy, brazenly used the celebrity’s name and photograph as its profile picture to pose as the authentic figure.
In a bid to lure followers, the account recently posted a deceptive message: “If you’ve never won my giveaway yet, say hi let me see you”.
On Saturday, Don Jazzy directly addressed the impersonator in a post on his verified X account.
The music mogul questioned the individual’s judgment, pointing out the fraudulent nature of the act.
He also issued a clear cease-and-desist warning, urging the account handler to stop misleading the public.
He concluded with a firm caution against playing the victim, stating, “Dont say they are bullying you if you get arrested”.
“Good evening sir/ma. Don’t you see how using my name and image on this account looks dodgy? You can do your giveaways with your own name and pic if you really want to help people. Dont say they are bullying you if you get arrested o. I come in peace,” he wrote.
