Technology Company, Tsaboin and ace producer Don Jazzy have launched a mobile app, few months after unveiling Flobyt, a free WiFi service.

Flobyt was introduced into the market to increase broadband service and provide free WiFi in public places across Lagos.

There are currently 45 active spots where Flobyt can be accessed in Lagos.

Dele Odufuye, Tsaboin MD/CEO, in a recent chat with TheCable Lifestyle, revealed how the mobile app works.

“Originally when we launched, there was no app, now we have an app that can be used for easy access,” he said.

“If you launch the app, it shows you the list of places available for nearby connection. It also shows you the list of all the locations.

“This new app is another way in showing our dominance in the free WiFi domain. Flobyt app is also available on the ios and android.

“The whole idea is to avoid popping ads during the browsing session.The reason we have 15minutes basically, is need to look for an advertiser that is willing to pay.

“If someone else is doing a malicious act while, browsing, the person will be logged out. Laptops cannot connect to the WiFi for security reasons, only Mobile.

“In 15 minutes, the cost of data is smaller and bearable by the advert. It is not meant to replace your regular office system, but you can send in emails, you can attach and do a lot.”

Flobyt is currently installed in Bar Enclave, Ilupeju; FoodHouse, Ikosi; Lounge 9a, Anthony; Massimo Bar, Ikeja; Grace’s Cakes, Ogba; Jazzment Salon Lekki; Kayz Place Barbershop, Lekki; Amala Express, Lekki; White House, Sabo, Yaba and Road Star Burger, Lekki.
