The multi-talented producer, whose real name is Michael Collins, took to his verified social media pages to unveil Rema as the newest member of one of Africa’s leading music labels on Friday, March 22, 2019.

“Today another Mavin is Activated. Mavin/Jonzing is excited to present the newest MAVIN @HeIsREMA. Rema is a super talented young artist I have no doubt is going to be the future of Afrobeats,” Don Jazzy wrote.

The announcement comes on the back of a recent multimillion-dollar investment in Mavin Records by Kupanda Holdings, a global private equity firm.
