Don Jazzy, Mavin Records CEO, has joined a star-studded cast for the sequel of ‘Introducing the Kujus’, the Nigerian comedy-drama film.
Filming of the movie, directed by Biodun Stephen, has commenced across different locations in Lagos with the producer prohibiting the use of printed manuscripts for the cast.
In a statement, TMPL Motion Pictures said the movie’s cast were, however, given tablet devices to use on set.
Idris Olorunnimbe, the movie’s executive producer, said the non-usage of papers while on set is to help drive sustainability and environmental protection awareness among filmmakers and fans.
Olorunnimbe had earlier joined stakeholders at this year’s edition of the sustainability table discourse series tagged ‘new pathways to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in a circular economy.’
Speaking at the event, the executive producer had said: “When I’m editing stuff, I want to see what I am editing. So I will first state my commitment today to reduce my use of paper.
“I also want to ask a favour of you, please don’t come to a movie set because we use a lot of paper but again, I will go back and look within my organization on how we can reduce the use of paper and help to preserve our environment.”
‘Introducing The Kujus 2: Finding A Kuju’ follows the story of five Nigerian siblings who are at crossroads.
It features several movie stars including Timini Egbuson, Bisola Aiyeola, Femi Jacobs, Bimbo Ademoye, and MC Lively.
Other are Kunle Remi, Mimi Onalaja, Ronke Odusanya, Lilo Aderogba, and Oli Ekun.
