Michael Collins Ajereh, Nigerian record producer and show business mogul better known as Don Jazzy, says he’s always worried and never lives at his best whenever he’s out of the country because Nigerians are suffering.
The Mavin records CEO made the comments in a series of tweets while speaking on the economic standards of the country and how he is forced to merry in a mediocre manner despite being rich enough to live a life of splendor typical of someone of his personage.
The 36-year-old music producer, who is currently in Berlin, said he always felt he is not living the best of his life when he visit other countries.
He added that no matter the country he visits he is always ashamed to be identified as a Nigerian.
“I’m not living my best life in Nigeria. We’re not living our best lives. No matter the amount of money you have. You will still ball mediocre balling in that Nigeria. You will have money sef and you will just be seeing people suffering and your money no go sweet you spend. Our standard of living in Naij is sad o, ahhhh! It’s not fair,” he wrote.
“That’s the thing about us in Nigeria. Is it too much faith I will call it? Or we re just tooooo… I don’t know the word to use. Yeah, I’m in Berlin. But I normally feel this way when ever I leave the country. No matter the country I go to. Small or big, I just get ashamed for us.
“I hear there are some people taking my tweets personal. I think it’s only a daft and heartless person that would think my tweets are about political parties. I am worried about the people in our dear country you are thinking about saving political face.”
I’m not living my best life. 😢
