Dolapo Osinbajo, wife of the Vice-President, has celebrated Aisha Buhari, wife of President Muhammadu Buhari, on the occasion of her 50th birthday.
In a post on her Instagram page on Wednesday, Dolapo wished the first lady more years in good health and wealth, while praying for more of God’s blessings upon her.
“Happy 50th birthday HE aishambuhari. I wish you many happy returns of today, peace, joy, long life and good health. May all your prayers be heard and answered. May the desires of your heart be granted. God bless you today and always.” she wrote.
Born on February 17, 1971, in Adamawa state, Aisha tied the knot with Buhari in 1989. The union has been blessed with five children.
Aisha is a cosmetologist, beauty therapist, author, women’s rights activist and child rights advocate.
She constantly lends her voice to criticise child marriage and homosexuality in Nigeria.
The first lady holds a bachelor of arts degree in public administration from Ambrose Alli University (AAU) and a master’s degree in international affairs and strategic studies from the Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna.
Aisha is also a member of the United Kingdom Vocational Training and Charitable Trust and the International Health and Beauty Council.
She assumed the role of the first lady in 2015, following her husband’s emergence as the president of Nigeria.
