On Monday, reports began circulating on social media, particularly on X, suggesting that the DJ had died.

The speculation originated from a post by a user named La-Crypti, who wrote, “Ahh, Dope Caesar, why? Too soon. So sad, Dope Caesar”.

However, Caesar took to Instagram to dispel the rumours in a video message. She clarified that she “was alive, unharmed”, and had not been involved in any accident.

“Guys, nothing happened to me. I’m not dead. I don’t know where this rumour is coming from that I died or something happened to me,” she said.

“I don’t know who started it or where it’s coming from. Thank you for checking up on me, but I’m okay.

“I didn’t die, I wasn’t in an accident, nothing happened to me. I don’t know the intention of the person who started it. I’m okay, I’m doing well.”

Born Sarah Oboh, Caesar stumbled into DJing in 2017 after graduating with a degree in Computer Science from Covenant University.

Her career began unexpectedly when she found a DJ controller in her father’s room; her dad being a music producer.

What started as a hobby soon turned into a full-time profession after her initial job and travel plans fell through.
