Deborah, the first daughter of Paul Enenche, senior pastor of Dunamis International gospel Centre (DIGC), has revealed why she held a Bible on her wedding day.
Deborah and Sam Hawthorn, her husband, had their white wedding at her father’s church headquarters on Saturday.
She had sparked conversations on social media after she made her grand entrance to her white wedding holding a Bible rather than a bouquet.
Addressing the controversy, Deborah said she held a Bible instead of a bouquet because that is the kind of foundation she wants for her marriage.
She also expressed her gratitude and love for Sam.
“I can’t express how much of a fairytale yesterday was. I looked like the princess I am and got married to my prince,” she wrote on her Instagram page.
“@sam_hawthorn I love you so much. You’ve redefined love for me. I’m grateful to be experiencing life with you forever. I love that got to hold a bible instead of a bouquet. What a foundation to start a marriage.”

Deborah had in October announced her engagement by showing off her engagement ring.
