Not many artistes can promise to release their album on a certain day, and then fail to do so without any explanation — but D’banj can.
The Kokomaster said he’d release his King Don Come album on July 7 but it never came through.
D’banj has now announced a new date for the release of what would be his seventh album (fifth solo).
According to the singer, King Don Come will be out on in less than two weeks – — on August 25.
D’banj on Saturday shared on Instagram a tracklist of the record which has 12 songs.
American rapper Gucci Mane, Nigerian stars Wande Coal, Phyno and Kayswitch as well as South Africans Bucie and Busiswa, are the guest artistes on King Don Come.
Cheeky Chizzy produced a chunk of the record, laying beats for nine songs while Maleek Berry, Killertunes, Dr Amir, Floops and Shizzi also did production work.
The Don Jazzy-produced monster hit Oliver Twist is also included on the upcoming album.
The singer has released six albums in total – four studio albums and two compilation albums.
He recently welcomed his first child, Daniel The Third, with wife Didi Kilgrow, sister of MTV Base VJ Samantha Walsh.
The pair married in a secret wedding ceremony in 2016.
