Dayo ‘D1’ Adeneye, the co-founder of Kennis Music, has announced the death of his mother.
The media personality took to his Instagram page on Friday to appreciate his mum, whom he described as Iya Kayode, for raising him and his siblings.
Adeneye shared a photo of himself with Mama D in London, the United Kingdom.
He also prayed for her “soul to rest and be with her maker”.
“Good night my Sweet Mother. Iya Kayode (Mama D1) has gone to rest and be with her maker. You Lived a Great Life and we your children are all the Better for it,” he wrote.
“Thank you Mum. Gbo gbo wa la ma gbeyin arugbo wa.”

Last month, Adeneye, who is a former Ogun state commissioner for information, shared a photo of his mum on a hospital bed. He also wished her a quick recovery.
Before joining politics, the media personality has been a household name alongside Ogungbe, his friend and business partner.
They founded Kennis Music, which is recognised as the mother of all record labels in Nigeria.
The artistes they have managed and housed include Jaywon, Eldee, the late Goldie Harvey, K.C Presh, OJB Jezreel, and many more artists.
