Davido, the Afrobeats star, has tackled a social media user criticising the government of Ademola Adeleke in Osun.

The X user identified as Governor Ifedolapo Osun had taken to the platform to call out Adeleke, claiming he “deceived the people” about his religion.

The user had shared a recent video where Adeleke was seen dancing inside a church wearing a white celestial garment.

Ifedolapo wondered why the Muslim community voted for him during the state governorship election in 2022.

“May God Forgive All Of Us Who sold Adeleke to Osun as a Muslim. Because, WTF,” the user wrote.

Reacting to the post, Davido lambasted Ifedolapo for his criticism of Adeleke.

The singer said the X user has been “begging me for jobs and money for three years”.

Davido also shared a screenshot of a purported message sent by the user begging him to buy him a motorcycle.

The ‘Timeless’ hitmaker argued that Ifedolapo became disgruntled because he didn’t gift him what he wanted.

“Brother stfu u we’re in my DMs for 3 years begging for job and money…. Soon as u didn’t ur way … gov position is not ur birth right, ur constantly here bashing my and my family! STOP IT,” he wrote in the now-deleted post.

“And if I hear PIM … receipts Dey.”

Ademola, Davido’s uncle, was elected governor of Osun in 2022.

Isiaka Adeleke, his older brother, was the second governor of Osun state from 1992 to 1993. He died in 2017.
