The election is billed to hold on Saturday.

In a video shared on his Instagram page on Thursday, the ‘OBO’ crooner is seen clad in a crested agbada and a cap as he moves with a crowd of supporters.

The outfit bears a Yoruba inscription — ‘imole lokan’ — which loosely translates in English to “it’s the turn of light”.

“No intimidation, no violence, no retreat, no surrender. Imolede Osunguber2022, Awalokan,” he wrote on Instagram.

Davido is in Osun to campaign for Ademola Adeleke, his uncle who is the flag bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state election.

The ‘Stand Strong’ singer has been very vocal about his uncle’s political ambition.
