Davido, the Afrobeats singer, has launched a social media application called ‘Chatter’.
The singer, who is a co-owner of the platform, announced the audiovisual app on Friday via a post on his X page.
He expressed excitement about the project’s success while urging people to download the application.
“Chatter is now live in the App Store worldwide. Just 5 months ago, I revealed my role in this amazing platform, and today it’s finally here!” he wrote.
“Download now. Need an invite? Ask a friend on the app or reach out to @Chatter_US on X & Instagram. Let’s get busy.”
Chatter is an audiovisual platform majorly designed for creator and users willing to connect with others.
“Chatter is the true social audiovisual utility platform designed to amplify your voice and connect you with a vibrant community,” the description reads.
“Whether you’re a content creator, business, or simply someone looking to connect, Chatter is your go-to platform for building meaningful connections and engaging with a global audience.”
The launch of the platform comes on the back of $Davido, the singer’s recently launched cryptocurrency coin — in a partnership involving Phantom and Solana.
The coin quickly gained popularity in late May and even earned profits for early investors.
However, there were rumours it crashed a few hours after its unveiling, with many users calling out the singer for an alleged scam.
The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) also warned the public that “investing in Davido‘s meme coin is highly risky”.
