David Adeleke, award-winning Nigerian singer better known as Davido, has revealed how Curtis Jackson, US rapper better known as 50 Cent, once turned down his request to have a picture with him in 2014.
The 26-year-old talented music star brought this revelation to light during an interview with Hot 97, US radio station.
During the interview, Davido narrated how he had approached the US rapper five years ago and requested a picture with him during an event.
He recounted how he was “let down by one of his idols” after 50 Cent turned down his request.
The singer said five years later, he would be gracing one of the biggest music venues alongside 50 Cent.
“50, (referring to 50 Cent) hey, can I take a picture with you, and he said ‘no’ in response. And I was like waoh, but fast forward to five years later and I am on the same stage with him,” he said.
In August, Davido shared the same stage with 50 cent during the premier of a new season of ‘Power’ a series movie co-founded by the rapper, at Maddison Square Garden in New York, United States.
The gifted singer has, in recent times, done collaborations with international artistes including the likes of Chris Brown.
Ever since he had his big break in the country’s music industry, Davido has made impressive career strides and earned himself a deluge of ever-loyal fans.
