Davido, the award-winning singer, has claimed some voters rejected money offered to them at the ongoing governorship election in Osun state.
The much-awaited election started in the early hours of Saturday as the people of Osun arrived at the polling units to decide their next governor.
There are allegations in some quarters that the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had planned to induce voters.
In a post via his Twitter page, the ‘OBO’ crooner claimed people are rejecting being induced at the polling units across the state.
He, however, did not mention any area where people rejected money or the political party responsible for the inducement.
The musician said the development shows there is still hope for Nigeria.
“People rejecting money being offered to them left and right of the state today … great to see … there is stilll hope for Nigeria,” he wrote.

Davido has been in the news over his support for Ademola Adeleke, his uncle who is the governorship candidate of the PDP in the election.
Adeleke is challenging Gboyega Oyetola, the incumbent governor, who is seeking a second term in office.
Portable, the fast-rising musician, had recently called out the ‘Assurance’ singer for unfollowing him on Instagram over his support for Oyetola.
