The ‘Unavailable’ hitmaker has been teasing the project for weeks now.
He teased the project earlier while celebrating Nigeria’s 64th Independence Day and recently at American singer Lauryn Hill’s concert in Paris, France.
‘Awuke’ is Davido’s first single of the year.
Born David Adeleke, Davido rose to fame in 2012 after releasing ‘Dami Duro’, the second single from his debut album ‘Omo Baba Olowo’.
Since his debut album, he has delivered three other projects including ‘A Good Time’ (2019), ‘A Better Time‘ (2020), and ‘Timeless’ (2023).
Davido is also the founder of DMW, a record label established in April 2016.
The music label has served as home to music talents such as Mayorkun, Peruzzi, and Dremo.
In March, Davido rebranded the label as DMW 2.0 and unveiled two new artistes.
With several awards to his name, Davido has solidified himself as one of the leading artistes in Africa.
